We built the take counter because our tracking days needed one number the whole room could read. The batch renamer came out of shipping album masters to label spec, checksums and all. REM is the odd one: a full DAW, because classical editing runs on Source-Destination and nothing off the shelf does it the way we wanted.
Nothing here was made for a store. Every tool earned its place on real sessions first: records for Warner Classics and Erato, film mixes, the odd live show.
